Blue Dynamite

 (From the Visions of Shiloh)

Jesus sat on a wooden, folding chair. Beside him was a bucket of blue dynamite sticks. Each stick had a clear, see-through part in its middle. This was filled with things I wanted.

As I watched, he would look at me with a question on his face. The question meant, is this more important to you than me?

When I acquiesced (gave my consent) The Lord would light the fuses on them one at a time and toss them into the sky and we watched them blow up.

When it comes to a relationship, any relationship, we must be willing to part with the things we want in life. Because when those things are more important, it shows that relationship is not as valuable to us.

Jesus needs to be the most valuable one in our life. So when he asks, we must let go. He has a better plan and he loves us more than life.

Allow the Lord to give you the desires of your heart. But be willing to part with your own desires first. And place the desires of Heaven above your own. Then you will truly have a full life.

“They came to the place which God had told him of. Abraham built the altar there, and laid the wood in order, bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar, on the wood. Abraham stretched out his hand, and took the knife to kill his son. Yahweh’s angel called to him out of the sky, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” He said, “Here I am.” He said, “Don’t lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” - Genesis 22:9-12

“Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit eternal life. But many will be last who are first, and first who are last.” - Matthew 19:29-30

Prayer -

Thank you Jesus for giving away everything because you love me. Your love is greater than I know. Please help me to be poor in spirit, not attached to any earthly thing if it interferes with loving you and being yours. I lay it all down for you again today, making the necessary sacrifice to gain eternal life with you. Thank you. Amen.
