The first thing I want to share with you is God's heart. That is the reason I am an author. From my own experiences and my own, unique point-of-view, I would like to share who God is. As a follower of Christ Jesus, I might suspect that some would see me as a religious person. But I would rather be known for my relationship with God. It is not just what I have 'learned' from others that defines my faith. It is a lifetime of interactions with the God who loves me that drives my passion, my creativity and my hope. In this I have discovered a profound wisdom and peace and obtained the discipline and revelations which have helped me to compose my works. 

Today, for this fist BLOG post, I would like to share one of my encounters with God which I had in a dream many years ago. This has been included in the 'Shards of Light' devotional book as well. 

One of the visions God shared with me was a walk through His heart. But it was a clean and empty place except for a pool of water at the center. I watched as things appeared and disappeared so quickly, hanging in the air above this pool of light for a fraction of a second, just a blur to me. 

It was a very curious thing, so I asked God what that was. He told me that as soon as something entered into His heart to do, it was done. This is how pure and real God is. He is able to speak what’s on His heart and bring it into being. There is no hesitation. 

From a pure heart, we too could speak like that. But a heart with hidden motives, doubtful of the things of God, and burdened with sin will never be this bold or childlike. 
If we come to God, simply, believing Him and receiving His word, He can restore a right spirit within. He can give us a pure heart whereby we can see God and be changed. 
Then our desires will line up with God’s and the things in our heart will have His power behind them. In this way, our words could make a difference in the world.
