(From the Visions of Shiloh)
I was holding on to a rope and the wind was trying to blow me away.
I was holding tight and trying to pull myself forward. But finally, I just let go and flew up into the heavens.
As I went up, I went into different levels. There was a great rainbow and I was pulled through each colored layer until I was on top of it.
Then I slid down the rainbow and back to earth.

The winds of life seem to always be trying to pull us away from the rope we are hanging onto. We have a plan and a destination in mind. That rope is our life line to that place. We desperately cling to it, especially when the winds try to pull us away from our plan.
Everything is working against us, we think. But what we don’t realize is that those winds were sent by God, to pull us away from our own plans. We don’t know that this rope might be leading us away from God and into danger. So God has to frustrate our plans.
When we finally let go and trust God, the winds can be ridden. We can ride out the storm and God will carry us up to that rainbow - the seven-fold Spirit of God.
We will rise through each level, higher and higher until we gain God’s perspective. Then we can slide back down to earth, where God wants us, having a better understanding of the plan. So don’t fight change. Ride it out, pray and rest in God, trusting that He will take you where you are to go.
He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. Then you you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” - Luke 18:18-22

Dear Jesus, Thank you for your plans. Thank you that you can see my life from above. Please help me to trust you and to let go of my own plans. Please give me your sight to know what your plans are. I give my heart to you again today. Thank you. Amen.
