The Craftsman King and the Veiled Bride

 (From the Visions of Shiloh)

A miner dug for precious ores and then began producing gems from the ore. He took a walk on the beach and found an old, golden ring in the sand. He picked it up and carried it with himself.

In a house on the beach – he worked with gems and fit the ring with a diamond. He was not just a craftsman, but also a King.

Then a great wedding occurred with the king wearing his crown, a sword on his side and a cape. A bride stood by with a thick veil.  The King began to lift her veil.

What is this work that God has done? He created the world and made the heavens. Why did he do that? What was the purpose?

My friend, he did this for you. He mines out the ores of life in this place, the gems he planted in your very heart. He finds that old everlasting ring; the one buried in the sands of time, so he can fit those beautiful stones, the ones he made from your life and add them to his eternal promise. Because God loves you like that.

He dresses in the best for you. He is ready to commit to you for eternity. He deserves all of your praise, but he will settle for all of your love. When he lifts the veil, you will see him and you will be perfect then. So why did he make the world and the heavens?

For you.

“Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright. Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings. Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy! For Yahweh’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made: all their army by the breath of his mouth. He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses.” - Psalm 33:1-7

“On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hosanna!  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”   - John 12:12-13
