(From the Visions of Shiloh)

A group from ‘Shiloh’ were walking inside of a large, old library. We were looking through books and studying. Then we came to a teacher. It was the Lord, sitting upon a huge diamond. He was talking with many others who had gathered to Him. We stopped to listen. 

Next he floated above the diamond and it began to spin. It gave off a rainbow colored spectrum of light as it spun. When it stopped, He opened the top of it up. He tossed down a rope ladder and we climbed up and inside the diamond. Around the inside wall of the diamond were seats. It was like being on a roller coaster where the shoulder bars come down and hold you in place. We all sat in them and pulled the bars down. 

The Lord closed us in and the ride began. It spun faster and faster. Across from me was a little girl where Nicole had been. It was Nicole! Then before I knew it, we were all children. The ride came to a stop and opened up. 

We climbed out but we weren’t in the Library anymore. We were on a huge playground. The teacher, Jesus, asked me – “What’s the most important part of the school day? 

‘Recess!’ I answered. 

Then we all began to play and to play some more.

Comments -

Children love to play. Adults love their games. When children play it is supposed to be about inclusion and caring for each other. When adults play games (in this world) it seems to be about making themselves important and running others down. 

So when we start to follow Jesus and learn his ways, we go to school in the adult style. We study in old libraries, being serious and religious. We don’t remember how to be like children at first. Jesus must break in with something unexpected, like a vision of an abundant and fun life, just like when we were children. 

If we follow Him onto that ride, that silly ride, in our hearts, we could allow ourselves the chance to be childlike again. We need to take time to go to the playground and be kids. We need to realize that not everything we left behind was bad for us. 

Prayer -

Dear Jesus, my savior and teacher, please help me to remember how to play. Help me to find the playground and enjoy myself more with you. Help me to be humble and to release all the adult games that hurt others, replacing them with a simple, loving and playful soul so I can include everyone else and care about them first and to be where you are, at your school instead. Thank you. Amen.
