The Island (part two)

(From the Visions of Shiloh - continued)

So I walk out onto the water, looking in the direction that the Lord was showing me and I dive in. Swimming deep into the water, I begin to feel different.

I become a sea turtle with a golden shell. And I realize that nothing can hurt me on this journey.

Eventually I reach the shore of an Island. I must have transformed again without realizing it, because I walk onto the land.

On the Island is a large oak tree with a child-sized door in it. Above the door is a diamond shaped clock with many hands spinning wildly. – some forward and some backward.

Then the hands stop. The little door opens and a light pours out.

As we obey God and go where Jesus directs, we will be protected. We will also be transformed so we can make the journey unhindered and unharmed. Then we will reach new shores. We will find the place where God exists, outside of time. And we will find ourselves transformed again. There the entrance into God is reserved for those who turn from this sinful world and become like children.  This transformative journey gives us new sight so we will see the world and others with childlike faith and love. Our old ways will be forgotten. Our past sins removed. We will know as God knows but even better than that; we will love as God loves.

"But Samuel replied: 'Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord?' To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams." - 1 Samuel 15:22

“Jesus called a little child to himself, and set him in the middle of them and said, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you turn and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”  - Matthew 18:2-3

Prayer -

Dear God, as I draw near to you today, please draw near to me. Allow, in my time of worship to know your presence and be changed. Help me to overcome because of your love toward me. Let all the waves and billows wash over and not drown me. When I arrive at your island where time unwinds, please open the door to your grace in my life. Thank you. Amen
