The Joy of the Lord

  (From the Visions of Shiloh)

At first, a young woman with black hair, wearing a beautiful, bright, multi-colored dress, came singing and dancing with a tambourine through the grass. She was on her way to the beach. There was a fire in a pit and she danced around it. She wore a necklace with a red heart.

It was night time then and the moon was full. So she went to the water and pulled in a large net. It was full of fish, swimming in the shallow water inside of it. She took some of the fish and gave them to the Lord, who was sitting on the beach with the rest of us.

We were laughing and talking and enjoying the evening. It was a laid-back time of fun and fellowship.  The woman kept dancing and from time to time, fishing. Someone else was cooking the fish on the fire. It was a clear, starry night. From the shore, I saw a large, white fishing boat.

Whenever there is a multicolored reference in the visions, it represents the filling of the Holy Spirit. The young woman in this vision had a new heart and she was filled with the Holy Spirit, dancing and singing, on her way to the waters of God. She danced around an inviting fire, like the flame of God's eternal life. The moon was full, reflecting the light of the Sun or the 'Son' representing the condition of her heart to reflect God's light to people in darkness.

From one person, completely sold out to the Lord, comes provision for many other people. She found nets that were full of that provision and instead of hoarding it for herself, she gave it to the Lord. The Lord had drawn people to the fire in the dark and they were enjoying their time with Him. Someone began to prepare the fish as they spent time together in the Lord's presence.

It was a clear night and they could see all the stars above them. There was a large, white fishing boat in the water. The Lord was preparing to take them home with Him.

When we allow the Lord into our lives, even in the dark, a new life fills us and we receive a new joy. That joy of the Lord sustains us and feeds us and prepares us for the journey to come, when we will cross over with the Lord and those who join Him.

“Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” - Nehemiah 8:10

“As he was now getting near, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!” Some of the Pharisees from the multitude said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” He answered them, “I tell you that if these were silent, the stones would cry out.” - Luke 19:37-40

Prayer -

Dear God, please help me know and keep joy in my heart, remembering your provision and the salvation you have won for us. Thank you for your love and all you’ve prepared. Thank you for this journey and the warmth of your fellowship. Help this joy to grow inside and help me to remember that it is the source of my strength. Amen.
