(From the Visions of Shiloh)

I was walking in the Lord’s heart – through hallways and there were many doors. I asked the Lord what the doors were. He said they were rooms with great treasures. Each of us had a room filled with treasure but they were locked. I asked the Lord to open my door. 

Then around my neck on a ring appeared 3 keys. I looked at them – a golden one, a red one and a purple one. They were not for my door. They were meant to open other people’s doors. 

The Gold key (being bright) represents truth. The red key is love and mercy and the purple key represents forgiveness which is a divine gift that God alone can entrust to us.

Anecdote - 

(A Story From My Life)

Someone in my family was dying. I had anger in my heart toward this person. But the Lord had taken hold of my life and I found myself in the hospital and at their bedside alone. They were on machines and had no conscious signs of life, other than a gentle breathing and heart monitor beeping. 

I stretched out my hand, never having touched this person in my life that I remembered. I laid my hand on their arm and told them, ‘for whatever you might have done and for whatever you were accused of doing but didn’t do - either way, I forgive you.’ At that moment their body jumped and the heart monitor went wild for a second. Then they calmed back down and were at peace. 

A moment later, my other relatives showed up. This person passed away not long after that.

We have a room of treasure in God’s heart that he wants to give us. But others hold the keys. We are responsible in many cases for causing them pain. Others are responsible for causing us pain. We hold the keys to their treasure. If we could unlock the three locks that secure their doors, they could have that treasure. We withhold it from them and others withhold it from us. But it starts with us. 

God has given us these three great keys with which we can release treasure in other people’s lives. We must face the truth about what happened. We must find a reason to love them even if it is only the fact that God loves them. And most importantly, no matter who was right or what happened, we must forgive them. Then, regardless of whether others will forgive us, we have released them to open their door.
