The Parrot (Part One)

(From the Visions of Shiloh)

A cup of coffee sat on a saucer on a table. A spoon stood upright in it – stirring the coffee by itself. Then the spoon was sitting on the saucer.

Someone sat down at the table and looked into the cup. The reflection in the coffee was the face of God. The person was very thirsty and drank all the coffee.

Then they were clothed in a white robe and standing outside. A rainbow-colored parrot sat on their shoulder.

Comments -

As we went about our daily lives, we may not have recognized God at work in us. But one day He will reveal Himself through us.
We thirst for something better in this life, something real. We want a better world. Yet in order for that to happen, we must be changed. A look inside the cup reveals the face of God within. And as we allow ourselves to believe, We will be changed, clothed in white and purified by grace.
The seven fold spirit of God, represented here by the parrot, will rest on our shoulder then. The joy of the Lord will fill our hearts and we shall rejoice.

“For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.” - Romans 8:29-31

Prayer -

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me today to hunger and thirst for you. Transform me as I drink of you. Cloth me in white as you cleanse me. And dear Holy Spirit, rest on my shoulder, guiding me in grace to do God’s will. Thank you. Amen.
